CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems).

               


  • Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) aims at creating a comprehensive and integrated system for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of policing through adopting the principle of e-Governance and creation of a nationwide networking infrastructure.

  • CCTNS is intended to ensure that Police maintains all its Crime and Criminals data through online system and to provide Citizen access to Police Services online and in a hassle free manner.

Objectives.

  • Make the Police functioning Citizen friendly and more transparent by automating the functioning of Police Stations.
  • Improve delivery of Citizen-centric Services through effective usage of ICT.
  • Provide the Investigating Officers of the Civil Police with tools, technology and information to facilitate investigation of crime and detection of criminals.
  • Improve Police functioning in various other areas such as Law and Order, Traffic Management etc.
  • Facilitate interaction and sharing of information among Police Stations, Districts, State/UT Headquarters and other Police Agencies.
  • Assist senior Police Officers in better management of Police Force.
  • Keep track of the progress of Cases, including in Courts.
  • Reduce manual and redundant Records keeping.

Achievements.

  • An IT- infrastructure has been created in Odisha Police.

  • All Police Station and higher offices have been provided with computers.

  • Each Police Station has been provided four desktop computers, one Multifunctional printers and one Duplex printer.

  • A State Data Center (SDC) has been established at OCAC, Bhubaneswar.

  • All the Police Stations and Higher offices are networked and are sending data to the SDC.

  • The SDC is synchronising data every 24 hours to the National Data Center established at New Delhi.

  • All FIRs are now generated through CCTNS core application.

  • All FIRs, except in sensitive cases are being uploaded on the Odisha Police Citizen Portal.

  • All Charge Sheets and Final Forms are being generated through CCTNS.

  • Courts are only accepting CCTNS generated documents.

  • All Station Diaries are now online and cannot be manipulated or post-dated.

  • SAHAYATA:- Odisha Police is committed towards time bound delivery of Police services to the Citizens. In order to provide better and quick service to Citizen, Odisha Police has developed Mobile App namely SAHAYATA and deployed on Android Play Store.

  • LONGITUDE/LATITUDE MOBILE APP:- Odisha Police has deployed Longitude/ Latitude Mobile App to facilitate the IOs during investigation.

  • Dashboard developed to enable higher officer’s to monitor day to day task of Police personnel efficiently and quickly.

  • Integration of payment gateway in Citizen Portal and Mobile App.

  • Implementation of group SMS service.

  • SMS alert mechanism regarding submission of Final Form before the statutory period of 60/120/180 days.

  • SMS and e-Mail mechanism for Citizen regarding Services Request Status.

  • QR Code and photograph implementation in print formats for Citizen Service NOCs.

  • Integration of VAHAN & SARATHI Service of Transport Department with Core Application Software of CCTNS.

  • Accident Investigation Module has been developed to capture data required for analysis complying requirements of Ministry of Road Transport, Government of India. The Module will generate an analytical report which helps in policy formulation for reducing fatalities in road accidents and in making road safer.
